Life Worth The Living

This afternoon, I visited the fabric store (a dangerous place for me, I might add!). I was looking for a specific bolt of fabric that I had purchased yardage from a few weeks ago. I had used almost all of what I had on hand for the lining of a placemat purse.

This past week, I have been working on Thanksgiving placemats. I had hoped to finish them in time for you to seen them before Thanksgiving…but I have been pushing it. So, here is a glimpse of what I have been working on recently.

My aunt recently sent us a terrific Thanksgiving craft idea for entertaining the children on Thanksgiving Day! We call it the “Turkey Catapult”. The children love this activity, and it doesn’t take long for high flying frivolity to ensue! (If truth be known, the adults get quite a laugh out of it, too.) And, most of the materials are things that you have readily available at the Thanksgiving dinner table!

I have been checking the mailbox each day with bated breath in high hopes that this would be the day that I would receive a package from the UK. Finally! Yesterday was the day! Yay! A package arrived from my dear, sweet swap partner in the UK.

I have been participating in an international handmade tree decoration swap through the Down to Earth Forum.  My swap partner recipient lives in the UK, and she just posted to the forum that she has received the goodies that I made.
