I really knew spring was almost here when the preparation started of cleaning out of the brooder house before we ordered our baby chickens. We used the brooder house over the winter to store our canned fruit and our winter supply of sweet potatoes. We kept them under sawdust to keep them from freezing. Now it was spring time, and we had to clear all the old things out of the brooder house.
